Penguin Con 2016
Penguin Con is an annual event organized by a group of boardgaming, tabletop gaming and RPG hobby enthusiasts.
You can visit us on the 18th of June of 2016, at the our local city hall auditorium in S. Pedro da Cova (Gondomar, Portugal).
Try out dozens of titles on our gaming library, participate on one of our wargaming demos or experience an adventure on our RPG corner.
Do you have a game that you always wanted to try, but never found the people to play with? Bring it along. We are sure you will find someone who will be willing to tag along.
This year, you will also be able to show us your artistical skills. Join our painting competition. Prizes will be announced soon.

Meet the Penguins
Daniel Ferreira
It all began in 1996 with a copy of the Spanish edtion of White Dwarf, featuring a Space Hulk second edition cover. Since then he has never looked back. His firs taste of modern boardgames was a copy of Carcassonne. Currently, his collection is over 20 boardgame titles and far more miniature gaming systems' rulebooks than he would dare to admit.
Márcia Baixia
When I was little, I loved puzzles and those simple games such as the portuguese version of The game of Goose.
Growing up, I was nurtured more and more into the world of boardgaming. Later on I was introduced by some friends into the local gaming community and have been gaming ever since.
Pedro Barbosa
Member of the town hall executive in charge of promoting sports and youth activities. He is supporting the event and providing logistical backup for all the activities.
Diogo Salgado
From a young age I have always been interested in strategy games. The progression to boardgames, wargames and other related hobby games as a natural step. In the past I have started a hobby related project and now I am continuing that work with a new project in the city of Porto! I have now amassed a sizeable miniatures collection, that would enough in itself, to decorate an entire household.
